Adaptation

The blob fish is a fish found mostly off the coasts of Tazmania and Australia.  The fish has a very flimsy skeleton, and the rest is a gelatinous mass that is slightly less dense than water.  This adaptation allows the blob fish to float a few feet above the sea floor without expending any energy.  It uses this adaptation to float and eat whatever floats past it.
