The Muskox is a large animal that lives in Arctic regions of the world. It has a large body weighing in at 800 pounds. It has several layers of thick course hair and several layers of fine under hair. It has large horns that meet above its forehead and form a thick heavy plate. It has small thick legs and small round shaped hooves. These hooves allow it to move through snow and to climb on rocks and mountains. Its large body and several layers of hair allow it to maintain body fat for the winter and the hair keeps it warm in order to survive the winters. Its horns and thick plate are used for self defense against predators and to fight amongst themselves for dominance.
